Chapter Member
Recruitment/Retention Campaign |
At the November
13, 2007 Chapter Board of Directors Meeting the board agreed in
concept to the following campaign;
Any new member joining the chapter during the campaign period
will be awarded a free meal at an upcoming chapter meeting.
In addition, all new members recruited during the campaign
period will be entered in a drawing.
During the May 2008 chapter meeting one name will be drawn from
the new member pool. That person will be awarded a free full
membership when they renew during January – April, 2009.
Any current
chapter member that renews during the campaign period will be
entered in a drawing. During the April 2008 chapter meeting one
name will be drawn from the renewing member pool. The chapter
will pay the chapter dues for that person when they renew
during January – April, 2009.
Both campaigns
will be advertised via word of mouth, the chapter web site,
newsletter, and e-mail blasts to a variety of distribution lists
including the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce mailing list
(which contains over 400 names).
Respectfully
Submitted;

Region 18 Spring Conference - Carolyn Walters |
It was great seeing those of you
who attended and according to the evaluations, a great time was
had by all!
The Conference turnout was very
good, excellent actually, given that we held it in a city where
there is no Professional Chapter; Tarheel and Charlotte Chapters
are the closest ones. Of those who registered, there were 39 in
attendance, 1 unable to attend. To those who could not be there,
we missed you; to those who attended, thanks for coming.
I appreciate all those who
assisted in any capacity to make this event a success. Also,
thanks to the Chapters who stepped forward by sponsoring a
student or student activity. It takes the consolidated effort of
all of us to accomplish great things.
I look forward to seeing you in
Pittsburgh and again, thanks to those who "came for the event
and stayed for the activities".
In AITP Spirit, Carolyn Walters,
President, AITP Region 18 |
